How To Enable Google Chromes Reader Mode In The Stable Version [NEW]

Reader mode enables user to remove unnecessary clutter on the webpage. This helps to read the page without distraction like advertisement, sidebar and promoted content. Some browsers like Apple Safari offers reader view as a default feature. Google Chrome is a popular browser, but it does not offer reader view option. However, you can use experimental flag or install an extension to enable reader mode in Google Chrome browser.

How to Enable Google Chrome’s Reader Mode in the Stable Version

Readerview or reader mode is a useful feature for removing the images, backgroundsand advertisements. In order to enable reader mode in Google Chrome, you cantry the experimental flag with stable or canary version. If you want to haveperfect reader mode then try using the extension.

Chromium has a similar reader mode to Firefox. In this case it is called DOM Distiller, which is an open source project. It is disabled by default, but can be enabled using the chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode flag, which you can also make persistent. Not only does DOM Distiller provide a better reading experience by distilling the content of the page, it also simplifies pages for print. Even though the latter checkbox option has been removed from the print dialog, you can still print the distilled page, which basically has the same effect.

Next, type chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode into the address bar and hit enter. Click the box to the right of the entry, select Enabled and then click the Relaunch Now button that appears at the bottom to restart Chrome.

Run Chrome web browser on your computer, visit chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode (enter chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode in the address bar and press Enter on your keyboard to jump directly to the Reader Mode flag).

Install Google Chrome in another way ... I recommend to enable the EPEL and RPM Fusion repositories beforehand.Create a new file in /etc/yum.repos.d - sudo vi /etc/yum.repos.d/google-chrome.repo and add these lines :

A less drastic solution is to use the rpm --nofiledigest option just for Chrome. Start by making a list of the prerequisite packages that dnf wants to install for google-chrome-stable and do a separate dnf install for them, but without google-chrome-stable. Then do this:
